I want to hold you
so tightly,
that a permanent impression
is worn on me like a badge of honor.

And map every inch
of your skin
with my lips and fingers,
feeling every contour of your body.

I want to stare so deeply that I can read
the constellations in your eyes,

I get high from embracing you so closely
that I'm only able to breathe in your carbon dioxide

Yet it remains sweeter and lighter in my lungs
than any mountain fresh air.

I just want to inhale
and suffocate myself
of a world without you.

Well, this certainly lives up to the title. :o

Admittedly, I’d be erring on the side of caution if I ever had a lady this infatuated, or quite possibly, obsessed, with who I was that she was prepared to do all that. Please don’t take this as an insult, but in a way, it reminds me of Twilight, and of the shit Bella used to do just to hallucinate Edward into existence (Damn me and my watching of movie reviews… =p)

There’s a lovely use of metaphor in certain areas, and you did well comparing those two extremes of fresh, mountain air (of which I did have the pleasure of experiencing), and carbon dioxide, which I wouldn’t be keen on. There’s just that touch that I don’t really know how to explain. :p

Overall, a fine job and a fine way to express the idea of unreasonable passion. Nice going! :)
